Novedades Agrícolas S.A. is to company specialized in watering systems. From the beginning it has been designing and installing Sprinkler Irrigation Systems for distributing the water as uniformly as possible, taking into account weather conditions (wind, type and height of the crops, plant needs, the relief of the land, etc.).

At the present time the facilities are limited to locations where water is not subject to restrictions, and where the type of crop accepts this system of spraying water in the form of rain, as is the case with corn, cereals, field crops, etc. It is also used with vegetables like lettuce for example, where the aim is to use fine drop sprinkler irrigation systems and achieve good initial rooting, without forgetting gardens, golf courses or soccer fields, where it is used almost exclusively.

The following systems can be distinguished:

• Fixed coverage: where the sprinklers are mounted on the established frame, and the pipe system can be buried or on the surface, the stake on which the sprinkler is incorporated being the projecting part with the appropriate height.
• Mobile coverage: system that allows the location to be changed by means of a quick dismantling of the system.
• Garden watering.

Materials employed:

• Classic Aluminium installation
• Snap-fit PE installation
• Buried installation made with PVC or PE

Parts of the installation:

• Pumping set: to deliver the pressure and the appropriate flow for the installation.
• Filtration: the greater or smaller filtration thickness level will be related with the water quality and the size of the sprinkler mouthpiece.
• Fertilizer system.
• Pipe network.
• Sprinklers: The reach, flow and drop size will determine the selection of one model or another in both circular and sectorial layouts.
